We will start to make our way to Jeppe’s Reef Border Post. Visa’s can be obtained at the border post (for your own account) – you will be assisted by our guide. Just before the border we will go into a traditional Swazi Village. We will go on a short tour through the village and then watch an incredible song and dance performance. A tour to this traditional Swazi cultural village is a once in a lifetime experience. The Swazi people have a rich and well preserved cultural history. Our visit to this centre will introduce us to their unique culture and treat us to folk dancing and traditional music.

We will then make our way into Swaziland where we will head to Piggs Peak for coffee at a viewpoint on top of the mountain and learn about the gold mining history of the area.

After this we will make our down to Maguga Dam and then onto Ngwenya Glass Factory where we can watch the local craftsman blowing glass the old fashioned way. We will have a chance to walk around the glass shop and buy some souvenirs. Everything in the shop is made on site and utilises recycled glass. We will have the opportunity to have lunch (for your own account) at the restaurant on site at Ngwenya Glass.

After lunch we will make our way down through the Ezulwini Valley and then make our way to Swazi Candles and watch the craftsmen make candles in every size and shape imaginable.

After we depart from Swazi Candles, we will start to make our way to Mananga Border Post and head back into South Africa in the late afternoon.

There are loads of opportunities to buy some beautiful hand crafted products. Ensure that you have your cash and cards available for this, as most of these products you can only find in Swaziland.
