Welcome to Bushwise’s game viewing safaris, an unforgettable experience. By booking any of these activities, you get a true African Safari Adventure in one of the world’s greatest wildlife areas – The Kruger National Park.

All safaris are conducted in a registered open game viewing vehicle. Our full-time guides, who are well qualified and experienced, will share their passion for the African Bush and all its creatures with you. They know the Kruger park like the back of their hand, and if you are lucky the Big 5 will be waiting for you to make your day!

FULL DAY SAFARIS – R1155 pp (7-9 hrs.) AND HALF DAY SAFARIS – R980 pp (4-5 hrs.)- KRUGER PARK (Minimum 2 people, single person inquire at reception)

We depart at 05:30 am. and return late afternoon (before noon on the half day safari). Your personal guide will cook you breakfast, overlooking one of the water holes. (On our half day safari we serve a packed breakfast so as not to encroach on the game viewing time). There will be a number of stops during the day, one of which you will have the opportunity to buy yourself lunch. Experience the African bush and wilderness at its best. There are over 140 animal species, including the Big 5 (Lion, Leopard, Elephant, Rhino and Buffalo) and 500 birds species for the viewing.

SUNSET DRIVE – KRUGER PARK – R890 pp (3 hrs., Minimum age: 6)
On the sunset drive you get to see all the nocturnal animals of Kruger that are usually absent during the day. Experience an unforgettable sunset that only Africa can produce. Spotlights are provided on the open safari vehicle to help in the hunt for the glinting eyes of nocturnal animals – An adventure not to be missed! We depart the lodge at 4 pm. and take you to the Kruger where the Sunset drive will start from 4:30 pm. to 7:30 pm.


MORNING WALK – KRUGER PARK – R980 pp (3-4 hrs., Minimum age: 12)

Take a walk on the wild side in the Kruger National Park, get to feel and smell the bush where armed Kruger guides will introduce you to what Kruger has to offer on foot. You will be leaving the lodge at about 4:30 am. and be back at the lodge at about 10 am. for a well deserved hearty breakfast. Tracking of animals and the medicinal use of plants and trees are just a few of the topics that will be covered as well as identification and habits of birds and animals. Sightings of some of the Big 5 is a realistic possibility.



BUSH ORIENTATION WALK – MARLOTH PARK – R505 pp (1.5-3 hrs., all ages welcome)

Enjoy a leisurely walk on the border of the Kruger Park along the banks of the Crocodile river with our field guide, who will enlighten you with his knowledge and his passion for the African Bush. Zebra, Blue Wildebeest, Kudu, Warthog and Giraffe are just some of the game that you might encounter on the walk. Our guide will also point out the amazing variety of bird species and trees in and around Kruger.



VISIT TO A SWAZI CULTURAL VILLAGE – R980 pp (5-6 hrs., all ages welcome)

Visit the Swazi Cultural Village where you will get to learn some of the Swazi customs and way of life on a conducted tour through the village with one of the local guides. Get to watch them perform local dances in traditional dress and experience their amazing natural African talent for rhythm. Cuisine lunch available for your own account. No visa necessary.

Get up close and personal with the elephants. We will take you to a game farm about 40 km from us to meet these magnificent animals of Africa. They will allow you to touch and exchange greetings with the elephants and experience their exceptional intelligence (½ hr.) You also have the option to experience and enjoy an exciting elephant meander on the back of the elephant through the private game park (Another ½ hr.) Departure from the lodge depends on booking time.

QUAD BIKING – R890 (Minimum age: 6)

We offer mild to wild quad bike and scrambler trails for the whole family. Novice and more experienced and adventurous riders alike will enjoy action-packed scenic rides in the stunning Letubi Valley. Thirteen individually rated trails offer three levels of difficulty. Seasoned two- and four-wheel bikers can take up the 11 km endurance challenge. The 5.2 km flat track will test die-hard speed junkies. Those not keen to ride can simply kick back in beautiful surroundings.


HORSE RIDING – GAME RESERVE, 40 km FROM BUSHWISE SAFARIS – R890 pp (1 hr., Minimum age: 6)

For the experienced as well as the novice rider, horse riding safaris are conducted on a private game farm about 40 km from us, Riders can explore the unspoilt African wilderness on horseback.


TIGER FISHING – KOMATI RIVER, 25 km FROM BUSHWISE SAFARIS – R980 pp (5-6 hrs., Minimum age: 6)

By far the most powerful fresh water fish on earth. Because of their furious teeth, their Scientific name is translated literally as water dog. Tiger fish have been recorded to hit their prey at 50km/h. They have 20 cone shaped teeth that are extremely sharp. A half day fishing safari (early morning or in the afternoon) takes place on the Komati river. An experienced fishing guide caters for the novice and experienced fisherman alike.



MICROLIGHT SAFARI – GAME RESERVE, 40 km FROM BUSHWISE SAFARIS – R1780 pp (15 min., Minimum age: 12)

You’ll be flying in a fixed wing bantam microlight aircraft over a private game reserve about 40 km from us on the southern border of the Kruger Park. Expect an exhilarating big game experience. Flights are conducted early morning or late afternoon and availability is weather dependent. Minimum 2 people.
